Can I make principal-only payments on my vehicle loan?
Interest accrues daily on closed-end loans including vehicle loans; therefore, interest must be satisfied first. To have the greatest impact, schedule your extra payment on the day your regular loan payment is made.
Does Andrews Federal finance warranty coverage and GAP into vehicle loans?
Andrews Federal can include warranties and GAP in the financing terms, subject to approval.
How do I register my vehicle overseas?

How do I purchase a vehicle without taxes through the VAT office?
Andrews Federal can facilitate VAT-free purchases in coordination with local requirements. The process is unique to your local garrison, so please reference to your local installation's VAT guidance and website for qualifications and requirements.
Where can I get a document notarized overseas?
Due to regulations, notary services on military installations are only available through the local legal offices (JAG/Legal Office/Northern Law).
Does Andrews Federal require insurance documentation for my financed vehicle?
A copy of the insurance binder or declarations page is required within 90 days of funding your loan to confirm coverage and lienholder information meets requirements outlined in your loan agreement.
Do I have to be a member of Andrews Federal to submit a loan application?
We can review your loan applications prior to you becoming a member. Eligibility for membership is required since opening a membership is a requirement prior to finalizing a loan. For individuals in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, eligibility is based on the SOFA agreement and are as follows:
· Department of Defense CAC with individual logistical support
· Retirees are eligible for membership in Belgium
Does Andrews Federal finance branded or salvaged vehicles?
No, collateral with a branded or salvaged title are not eligible for financing.
Can Andrews Federal provide an authorization letter to ship my vehicle?
Yes, to request an authorization visit your local branch or submit a request through Digital Banking.
How does the title process work once I return to the U.S.?
The requirements will vary from state to state. Sales tax may have to be paid upon titling and registering your vehicle stateside, even if the initial purchase was tax free in some situations. Refer to the local DMV at your next duty station to estimate sales tax and documentation requirements for titling/registration. Andrews Federal can assist with the process by providing copies or original documents, depending on the DMV’s requirements.
Establishing a membership (subject to eligibility) is required prior to finalizing a loan.
Credit and collateral subject to approval. Advertised “as low as” annual percentage rates (APR) assume excellent borrower credit history. Your actual APR may differ and will be based upon several factors, including credit history, loan type, model year, mileage, term, and loan amount. Rates subject to change.
New Vehicles: Current and prior year models never before titled with under 7,500 miles
Used Vehicles: Models older than current or prior year or any vehicle exceeding 7,500 miles
Euro spec vehicles are limited to vehicles with titles originating from Belgium, the Netherlands, or Germany at this time.
All Andrews Federal memberships are USD based accounts; however, payments for purchases can be made in Euro to local dealerships.
