How do I open an Online Checking account with Andrews Federal?

To become a member of Andrews Federal and open the Online Checking you need the following: 

  • A valid government-issued ID
  • Social Security Number
  • Proof of address
  • An initial deposit 

Already a member? Log in to Digital Banking and select Add an Account from the Account Services menu.

Are there requirements to open this account?

Online Checking Account Requirements

  • The $10 monthly fee will be waived if you meet one of the following criteria: complete at least 10 debit card transactions each month, or you are under 24 years old, or you are a U.S. Military member.
  • You must be enrolled in Digital Banking and/or our Mobile App.
  • This account does not offer checks or check clearing.
  • This account is not eligible for Privilege Pay, our courtesy payment overdraft service. Other methods of overdraft protection, such as transfer from savings or an overdraft line of credit, are available. 
Can I open an Online Checking account in the branch?

Because this is an online-only account, you'll need to complete the opening process online. If you choose to open an account in the branch, we have many other options you can select, including our Kasasa Cash and Kasasa Cash Back Checking Accounts.

I need a paper check. What do I do?

his account does not include paper checks. However, you may be able to complete your transaction by using one of our online transfer options (account-to-account transfers, Zelle or Bill Pay). You can also visit a branch to request a money order or cashier's check. If you find you need checks regularly, you may want to upgrade your account to a Kasasa Cash or Kasasa Cash Back Checking Account.

This account does not offer checks or check clearing and is not eligible for Privilege Pay, our overdraft protection service. Other methods of overdraft protection are available. If you do not choose a form of overdraft protection, items that are presented against insufficient or uncollected funds on your account will be returned unpaid and is subject to an Insufficient Funds (NSF) fee. Refer to our Schedule of Fees for this fee information.

2Early Direct Deposit Program - early access to direct deposit funds depends on timing of payer’s submission of deposits. We generally post such deposits on the day they are received which may be one day earlier than the payer’s scheduled payment date.

3Zelle® - To send or receive money with Zelle®, both parties must have an eligible checking or savings account. Transactions between enrolled users typically occur in minutes. Zelle® and the Zelle® related marks are wholly owned by Early Warning Services, LLC and are used herein under license.
