Our Story
Our story began in 1948 when eight trailblazing members pooled deposits of $5 each to form a credit union on Joint Base Andrews in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
- In 1968, we expanded our reach to military and civilian member proudly serving our country. in Central Germany. We later added The Netherlands and Belgium to our growing membership.
- In 1991, a merger with another credit union allowed us to provide products and services to new members in southern New Jersey.
- In 2005, we welcomed new members that live, work, worship and go to school in the District of Columbia to the communities we serve.
- In 2014, we expanded into Virginia with the opening of two branches in Northern Virginia.
- In 2024, we celebrated our growth into southern Prince George’s Country with the opening of our Upper Marlboro Branch.
Today, we are proud to serve more than 147,000 members in flourishing communities around the world. We will continue to reach out to bring our competitive products and exceptional services to even more new communities in the future.
