Andrews Federal Credit Union Recognizes Scholarship Winners, Elects Board Members During Annual Meeting
Andrews Federal Credit Union elected new board members and awarded $55,000 in scholarship and summer camp award funds during its recent annual meeting.
The June 2026 meeting was led by Andrews Federal Board Chair Kenneth McKinney and President/CEO Kenneth Orgeron. During the event, the leadership team shared the credit union’s recent successes and emphasized its ongoing commitment to strategically supporting member needs and promoting financial stability.
Three credit union directors were selected to serve three-year terms on the Andrews Federal board.
- Robert Bowie: Current Andrews Federal Board Member who has chaired the Budget and Human Resources Committees and serves on the ALCO, Nominating, and Joint Merger Committees. Retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General. Previously served at the Pentagon as Special Assistant to the Director of the Air National Guard for the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Environment, and Energy.
- Tim Byers: Served Andrews Federal as Supervisory Committee Vice Chair. Retired U.S. Air Force Major General and senior executive known for leading complex engineering, infrastructure, and mission driven operations. Current President of Byers Strategy and Solutions.
- Jenny Kuhlmann: Served as the Andrews Federal Supervisory Committee Chair. Senior Congressional Affairs Officer at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Brings more than 30 years of experience in research, communications, and leadership to her work supporting the credit union’s financial safety and soundness.
“Our Board of Directors comprises volunteers who willingly share their knowledge on behalf of our credit union membership,” said Kenneth Orgeron, President and CEO of Andrews Federal Credit Union. “Their leadership and guidance ensure Andrews Federal has the strategic expertise to provide members exceptional products, services, and support to achieve their financial goals.”
Andrews Federal also awarded scholarships and summer camp awards to student members. The credit union gave ten $5,000 scholarships to incoming college freshmen and offered support for working families by providing $500 in summer camp funds for ten students.
According to Chief Operating Officer Damita Robinson, the credit union’s scholarship program is designed to support education and greater achievement for young people. “Each college scholarship represents a path and an opportunity for our students,” Robinson said. “Andrews Federal is honored to partner with them as they build a strong foundation for their future.”
