Together, Andrews Federal Credit Union and HUD Federal Credit Union are building a stronger future with greater value, expanded access, and enhanced opportunities for members. While honoring the trusted, member-first service both organizations are known for, this partnership brings one vision and one team together to better support our members and communities for years to come.

About the Transition 

As HUD Federal Credit Union transitions into Andrews Federal, we want to keep you informed about temporary branch and service limitations during the integration process. Because both credit unions currently operate on separate banking systems, some services and branch access will remain limited until system conversion is complete. Members will continue to have full access to services at our Headquarters Branch on Allentown Road during this transition. Once integration is finalized, you will have seamless access to the full Andrews Federal branch network, digital banking channels, products, and services.

Important Branch Access Update:

Branch operations at the former HUD Federal location at 451 7th Street SW, Washington, DC, will close on June 30, 2026. You will have access to your accounts and select banking services through the following options:

•  A new Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) will soon be available at HUD's current location at 2415 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia. The ITM will provide convenient access to everyday banking services, including withdrawals, transfers, and balance inquiries.
• Select Andrews Federal branch locations, including Fort Washington, Upper Marlboro, Henson Ridge, and Manchester Lakes, are available to assist with many of your banking needs during this transition period. 
• Our Andrews Federal Headquarters Branch, located at 5711 Allentown Road, Suitland, Maryland, provides a full-service teller experience, complete account servicing, and personalized financial guidance.
• The CO-OP Shared Branch Network, providing access to thousands of participating credit union branches and ATMs nationwide. To find a location near you, text your ZIP Code to 91989 or visit co-opsharedbranch.org.
• An ATM will remain available at the former HUD branch location in Washington, DC through September 30, 2026.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Andrews Federal Credit Union. We are honored to have the members of HUD Federal Credit Union join the Andrews Federal family and look forward to serving you in this next chapter. 

We understand that your relationship with your credit union is personal and built on trust. During times of change, that trust matters even more. Our commitment is to make this transition as seamless as possible while continuing to provide the service, care, and support you deserve. 

For more than 77 years, Andrews Federal has been dedicated to helping members achieve financial well-being while supporting the communities we serve. In the near future, when we combine our systems, you will have access to an expanded range of products, services, and resources designed to support your financial goals today and in the future.

We chose Andrews Federal because they are a well-regarded institution that shares the same member-focused values that HUD Federal has upheld for years.

What does this mean for you right now?

There are no changes to your accounts, loans, or banking routines at this time. You may continue to use your accounts, visit your local branch, and work with the same dedicated staff you know and trust.

Looking Ahead

As you transition, Andrews Federal will provide you with expanded digital tools, a broader range or products, and a larger network of branches and ATMs. They are fully committed to maintaining the personalized service you expect. Steps have already been taken to ensure this transition is seamless and your service remains uninterrupted.
